Ancestral Traditions
Welcome to Ayahuasca Community Fellowship (ACF)! We are delighted you’re considering joining our spiritual family. ACF isn’t just an organization – it’s a community of faith and fellowship, a compassionate tribe dedicated to healing, personal growth, and communal support through the sacred practice of Ayahuasca.
How to Become a Member
To join ACF, follow these steps:
- Eligibility: You must be 21 or older and aligned with ACF’s core beliefs and values. No special background is required.
- Orientation Conversation: Have a friendly chat with an ACF leader or facilitator to get acquainted, discuss our mission and ceremonies, and ensure ACF is the right spiritual home for you.
- Paperwork: Fill out a membership form and review ACF’s key beliefs and guidelines, then sign the Membership Covenant to affirm your commitment.
- Safety Preparations: If you will participate in Ayahuasca ceremonies, complete a health screening and sign a liability waiver.
- Approval: After this process, you’ll receive a welcome letter confirming your membership. Congratulations – you are now an ACF member! (There are no membership fees or dues.)
What Membership Means
As a member, you can:
- Attend Ceremonies & Gatherings: Join regular Ayahuasca ceremonies and other community events (like sharing circles, workshops, or service projects).
- Receive Spiritual Support: Seek guidance and care from ACF’s spiritual leaders and elders.
- Have a Voice: Share your ideas and feedback in the community (the Board makes official decisions, but member input is valued).
Membership in ACF is a sacred covenant, not a transaction.
ACF Membership Covenant
As a member of ACF, I commit to:
- Shared Faith: Affirm Ayahuasca as a sacred sacrament and embrace ACF’s core beliefs – reverence for the Divine, respect for Mother Earth, love, healing, and unity.
- Respect & Compassion: Treat everyone with kindness and respect, honor our diversity, and ensure a safe, harassment- and discrimination-free environment.
- Confidentiality & Trust: Keep others’ personal stories confidential and not share them outside the community.
- Integrity & Ethics: Act with honesty and integrity, uphold ACF’s Code of Ethics, and provide truthful information (especially regarding health for ceremony safety). I will not misuse or sell the sacrament, bring illegal substances to gatherings, or ignore facilitator instructions.
- Sacred Responsibility: Approach ceremonies with reverence and follow all preparation guidelines to honor the sacrament and ensure safety. During ceremonies I will stay in the sacred space, respect the ritual, and only leave with permission. I take personal responsibility for my journey, treating it as sacred communion, not entertainment.
- Community Service: Actively participate in the fellowship, attending ceremonies and gatherings regularly as I can. Contribute time and talents by helping at events, volunteering for projects, or supporting those in need, and care for fellow members and the wider world.
- Continuous Growth: Commit to ongoing spiritual growth and to support others on their journey. Integrate lessons from ceremonies and stay open to feedback, continually improving. If a fellow member falters or deviates from these commitments, offer help or a gentle reminder (involve leaders if necessary).
By agreeing to this covenant, I officially join ACF’s spiritual family with gratitude. If I ever choose to leave, I will do so gracefully and let the community know. As long as I remain a member, I will uphold these commitments.
We are honored to walk this path with you – welcome to the ACF family!
