Rapé (pronounced ha-pé) is a sacred shamanic medicine prepared from finely ground Amazonian tobacco (Nicotiana rustica) blended with aromatic medicinal plants, seeds, and ashes.

A Bridge to Spirit, Not a Habit

In our modern world, tobacco is often misunderstood. However, in the traditions of the Indigenous tribes of the Amazon, Nicotiana rustica (often called Mapacho) is revered as a Master Teacher plant. It is cultivated purely, without chemical additives, and is approached solely for prayer, healing, and spiritual alignment.

For centuries, Rapé has been utilized in ritual ceremonies to purify the mind, ground the physical body, and open channels to spirit. Each blend carries its own unique energetic signature, prepared with deep reverence for ancient traditions. When approached with respect and intention, Rapé offers profound clarity, focus, emotional release, and alignment with the present moment.

🌬 Ritual Application

Rapé is applied through the nostrils using a kuripé (for self-administration) or a tepi (administered by a practitioner).

  1. Set your intention and sit in a grounded posture before application.
  2. Place a pea-sized amount of Rapé into the applicator pipe.
  3. Receive the breath firmly into each nostril, balancing both sides.
  4. Sit quietly, close your eyes, and focus entirely on your breath as the medicine works.

Note: A sharp sensation, watery eyes, or physical purging (mucus) is a normal and welcomed part of the cleansing process.
